Hot Girl Summer Ain’t Over Yet
Sun smiling, thighs out, day parties galore- there’s just something about summertime that makes us crave more. While fall is quickly creeping up on us, we still have a few more weeks of summer to claim. So, what exactly makes your summer hot like Aunty Meg said?
There have been many debates surrounding what exactly defines a hot girl summer. Whether you’re chilling with your kids at the park or twerking poolside with a margarita in hand, we want all of our Epic Lust Babes to keep that same energy- if it makes you happy. Life is too short to engage in anything that does not serve you or bring you joy. With that said, here are some reminders for us to keep in mind as this season comes to a close:
Get (and stay) in your bag, sis. We were each created for a special purpose, and only we can tap into our own destiny. This means, the time has come for you to go claim what is yours. Is there something that you’ve always wanted to try, but you somehow keep putting off getting started? Do you feel like you’ve hit capacity at your job, but fear not knowing what would happen if you try something new? Well listen, chances are if you have a dream, it’s because you’re supposed to bring it into fruition. Make a vision board, set some long and short time goals, and stop playing with your money and future; actually follow through! Accomplishing your goals can feel scary and takes mad consistency, but you’ll thank yourself in the long run if you just start.
Prioritize yourself. Flight attendants always tell you to put your oxygen mask on before you help other people, which makes sense. We as women have a tendency to try to play the superhero for our loved ones, but who is left to save us after we’ve done all the rescuing for everyone else? If that question hit a nerve, it’s time for you to set some boundaries to maintain your peace. You don’t owe anyone anything (unless you have kids), except yourself. Treat her kindly.
Love the skin you’re in. You are not your body. Say that again. In the age of social media, it may feel hard to accept the ways that your body may differ from the average IG model. But, have you ever tried praising your body for everything that it has done already? That crooked smile has brightened someone’s day; those legs carried you into the next day when you didn’t think you would make it; that stomach stretched to carry a life into this world; that hair defies gravity and is a lewk hunty. You are blessed and beautiful; remember that.
What is made for you, no one else can have. Whether that be a partner, a job, an opportunity, etc. If someone else can take it, it was not meant for you to have. This means that something bigger and better is waiting for you, but you cannot receive a new blessing if you’re hands are tied up holding on to the past. Let it go!
Until next time, Epic Lust Babes.
Peace and blessings,
